| too-short rod on the upper side. AFAIK the clutch is properly bled. There are no signs of air in the system. e.g., pedal heights fluctuating with operating temps. I was surprised to see the difference in slave cylinder pins. Both slave cylinders are Nissan. Their nominal outside dimensions and piston travel are the same, so I don't know why there should be a difference in pin lengths supplied by Nissan. Also the longer pin was OK in that it did function. The clutch did fully disengage and the car was very driveable. However; I prefer to have engagement as near to the top of the pedal travel as possible; while still leaving a margin of error for ample freeplay. The adjustable pin provides for that extra height. Plus it is much easier to access than the threaded rod under the dash. The rubber boot fits fine over the threaded rod. The bolt I used was the same OD as the OEM pins. If this setup gives me any problems, I'll have a shop make me a new pin the length of the adjustable one. Otherwise I'll just keep it like it is. gordo at the very least I'll know the proper length for the slave pin
